Robb Young is a strategic consultant, fashion business journalist, luxury industry editor and author. His writing has appeared in The Financial Times, The International Herald Tribune, BBC.com, VOGUE.co.uk, Newsweek, the New York Times style magazine “T”, Vogue Pelle, Vogue Gioiello,
The Independent, The Guardian newspapers and more.  He authors a fortnightly style column for the BBC Culture section entitled ‘Wardrobe Decoder’.  While The Financial Times published its bi-annual supplement called The Business of Fashion (2004-2008), Robb edited and wrote the opening section entitled ‘Who’s Got the Power?’ by selecting and analyzing the most influential people in the fashion industry each season.  Early in his career, he was based in Tokyo as fashion editor for a lifestyle magazine and, then, later in New York.

As a strategic consultant for Diptrics in Japan, Robb recruited international designer collections for distribution, negotiated exclusive contracts and oversaw branding strategies in that market for ten years between 2000 and 2010, shuttling regularly between Tokyo, London, Paris, Milan and several emerging market fashion capitals.
Since 2001, he has been based in London, travelling extensively around the globe in search of compelling news, products, brands and talent.
