Born in 1972, Federico lives and works in Milan. After having graduated cum laude in Conservazione dei Beni Culturali from Università degli Studi di Pisa, he specialized in visual arts with a PhD course in the Renaissance of Palazzo Strozzi at the Istituto Nazionale di Studi in Florence. He continued with two masters degrees in communication, first at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Visual Arts Communication and Organization) and the second at Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Fashion Communication).

Poletti’s significant achievements in digital communication & content providing

Communication Director at YOOX.COM, curating all content and designers’ projects, developing on/offline communication strategies for yoox.com and thecorner.com; launching and editorial planning of online magazine, “The New Yooxer” (yoox.com webzine). Web consultant and Fashion Director for Pitti Immagine (from 2009 to 2014 following the complete re-launch of the digital platform). Fiera di Vicenza – Art Direction and content management for the jewellery fairs (vicenzaoro.com) and Trend Vision project (www.trendvisionforecasting.com). Working with Carla Sozzani at 10 Corso Como for the launch of the e-commerce and editorial section of the store’s website.

Since the launch of Vogue.it website, working with Sara Maino, head of the talents section, to scout and feature new talents around the world for the online and on-paper Vogue editions, and for Vogue Italia Events at Palazzo Morando (Who is on next? and Vogue Talents). In 2014 he founded MANINTOWN.COM, a men’s lifestyle magazine available online and on-paper, and continues to act as Editorial Director. This project has been selected by Manzoni Digital (Repubblica Group). He runs courses and conferences for Italian and foreign institutions and he is currently professor in Fashion Design and Trend Forecasting at Politecnico di Milano University. Newspapers he currently collaborates with: Repubblica, D Repubblica delle Donne, Huffington Post Italia, Vogue Italy, Modern Weekly (China). In 15 years of experience in fashion business, he developed a wide network of international photographers and fashion film directors.
