This collection explores the intersection of spiritual belief and speculative spacewear. A quiet procession into the unknown—a ritual of farewell, belief, and becoming. Inspired by a Shinto saying that visiting your own grave may prolong life, it was born from the fragile hope of holding on when nothing is certain. Garments move between protection and offering, fusing ceremonial structure with the silhouettes of spacewear.
It imagines a future where exploration becomes a sacred act, blending functionality with ceremony in a world beyond Earth.
This collection was a process of myself going through a vulnerable experience. Creating the collection through my emotions, thoughts and actions. Worked intuitively, and through the work I wanted to say things I haven’t said. In my work, protection and ceremonial were quite the big key in making my collection. As always, I add in functionality into my creations. In addition adding a few things that could spark up the collection as I did not want to make such a dark and sad atmosphere.
