Instinct

This collection is about instinct: to what extent are we still pure and autonomous? And how much do others influence our identity?

The more influenced we are by opinions of others, the more homogeneous our appearance and behaviour becomes.

In this collection I tried to stay as close as possible to my own instinct, and because drawing has always been the most natural and purest way of expressing myself I built the entire collection upon my abstract drawings. I searched for a three dimensional translation of every scratchy detail. I like to approach designing in an experimental way, almost like creating a sculpture; I start from zero, with only a feeling or hint of inspiration.

Core elements of this collection are the hand-painted prints mixed with digital collage prints, screen prints on latex, layered textile designs, bead details and the voluminous shapes.
