ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Girls will be boys, and boys will be girls. It’s a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world, except for Lola.” (Lola, The Kinks, 1970)

Gender has always a cultural interpretation, but gender is the idea / image of itself as a male and female. This does not coincide with the biological sex, male or female.

Gender is not static, it is fluid (liquid, variable), it changes through time, different circumstances, under the influence of institutions and media. The way we shape our sex, can change during our lives.
